"My Story" Scrapbooking card

Hi,
This my newest creation. I wanted a tag that I could put in a scrapbook. I am not sure if I want to journal on it or not. The quality of the photo is not great because I have my own shadow in the picture! Anyway, I used ecru cardstock, a turquoise stamp pad and a red stamp pad. I cut the typewriter out of Jillibean Soup Sweet and Sour Soup Crushed Tomato paper. The notebook and My Story are from A Jillian Vance Design stamps. This my very well be my favorite stamp. It brings back memories of buying school supplies every year and that was always so fun. This stamp and many more can be found at http://www.ajillianvancedesign.com Until next time, have fun!

Fund$ Gift Card Holder

Hello, Friends
I had a precut olive green gift card holder. I covered the outside with Jillibean Soup-Sweet and Sour Soup- Raisins paper. the paper is double-sided and the back is all typerwirter keys. I thought that it looked a little like money when I made a flower out of it. The inside flower is striped. I stamped the saying on ecru paper. This can be found at: http://www.ajillianvancedesign.com
The name of the set is I Am My Hair.
Until next time, I hope you have lots of Fund$ to support your papercrafts habit!

Notebook Give Thanks card

It is Thankful Thursday and how fitting that I start a bible study today!

Supplies for this card:

Kraft cardstock

Off-white cardstock

Turquoise Stamp pad

Various colored markers

A Jillian Vance Design Notebook set

A Jillian Vance Design Autumn Leaves set

Hole punch

I just loved this way this pumpkin looked a little like a sketch (If only I could draw like that). I stamped the notebook paper with Turquoise ink, cut it out, punched the holes out and stamped "Just a Note" and the Give Thanks bible verse in Brown. I colored the pumpkin in various colors and stamped it at the bottom. I mounted the page on Kraft cardstock. Inside I tore a part of another stamped notebook sheet and stamped the sentiment on that. This little notebook page is wonderful for scrapbook journalling, too. Both of these sets can be found at:

Thanks so much for visiting my blog.

Black and Maize Halloween card

Hello, Friends!

I am sharing this card design with you. I used black and maize cardstock. I stamped the Witch from the Witchy Poo set, the bat and Happy Halloween from the Eye on Halloween set, the cat and large spider from the Spooky set, the little spiders from the God's Art set, and the mini stitch hanging from the large spider are from More Stitches. After stamping, I cut the tops of each piece at an angle and attached them to the front of the card. I inked the edges in red to help them stand out. On the inside, I stamped the sentiment on maize cardstock, left enough room for a signature, cut it out at an angle and attached it.

All these cute stamps used on this card can be found at:

I would love your comments! Until next time, have fun!

I cut the corner out and inked the edges brown. I stamped the sentiments outside and inside with olive ink. The small leaf was stamped just like the corner and I made the bubble cap with the Epiphany Shape Studio Tool.

Grill and Candle Birthday Card for a Man

One of my favorite designs for a male card is this one.  I love craft cardstock for cards especially for men.  I used this for two men I know that turned the Big 5-0 this year.  I cut the grill from Cricut Everyday Paper Dolls with red cardstock.  I used a brick color of cardstock and ran it through my Sizzix Texture Fades in Brick to give it the real look of a brick patio.  "Grill Master",  "Where there is smoke, there are lots of candles!" and "Happy Birthday" are all from A Jillian Vance Design stamp set entitled " Celebrate Men".  (I like to think they appreciated the work put into it, even if they didn't appreciate what the verse inferred.)  Ha, Ha!   Got you aging guys!

Stiches and Hems card

Hi, Friends!  This card is made from paper from Doodlebug Designs, Inc. Nifty Notions collection.  I cut the sewing machine out from the paper also.  I like that some of the double-sided paper is in plain colors that coordinate with the prints.  The stiches are stamped, along with the sentiments, from A Jillian Vance Designs stamps.  They are super versitile as you can see!

Beach chair card

This may be a little hard to make out in the picture but the front has been stamped with sunglasses, Life's a Beach and a fish.  The inside has a pop-up beach chair cut on my Vagabond with the Sizzix die.  The Blue on the front and the waves inside are from Colorbok Water Waves paper.  The flip-flops are K&Company stickers.  "Make a Splash" and all the stamps are from A Jillian Vance Design Make a Splash set.

A Jillian Vance Design Team Challange--County Fair--UR Tractor Card

With this card, I cut one tractor from Cricut Everyday Paper Dolls at 2 1/2" from green card stock and one from black cardstock. I cut the other four the same way at 3/4". I cut the wheels off of the black tractors and attached them to the tractors. Then I outlined the wheels on the large tractor with black Stickles. I added some bling to the tires with rhinestone brads. I placed "UR" stickers on the front of the tractor. All the tractors are mounted on a paper from Colorbok named " Haystacks". I mounted that on brown cardstock that I had distressed and inked the edges. The card is made with craft card stock. Inside I stamped "Outstanding in Your Field" from A Jillian Vance Design Down on the Farm set. This card would be a cute congratulations card for a child's accomplishment--such as a blue ribbon at the County Fair!

John Deere Card

Directions for this card:
I cheated a little on this card. I found the perfect die cut at Red Letter Journals. The tractor was already cut out for me. I added the gold brads to the wheels. I put a little
" Thank You" on gold cardstock. I used brown cardstock to mount the tractor and distressed the edges and inked them in chocolate brown. The card is made with craft card stock. Inside, You're a Deere" is stamped. This cute saying is from the Down on the Farm set of A Jillian Vance Designs stamps. I liked it because it is a good card for a male. Those are hard to find.

Love that witch!

Hello,

This is another witch card I designed with Jillian Vance design stamps.  I just love the witch from the Witchy Poo set!  I made the card on craft cardstock.  I cut the moon out of bright gold cardstock.  I liked the looks of the bare tree from the God's Art set for Halloween.  I also added the cute little owl from that set.  Inside it is stamped with the verse:

When witches go riding
and black cats are seen
The moon laughs and
whispers, tis Halloween.

That verse and many other adorable sayings are in the Witchy Poo set.

Until next time, happy scrappin',

Denise

Patchwork Halloween Card

Hi,

I designed this card using Sizzix Texture Fades Patchwork Embossing folder on black cardstock.  I added dimension to it by inking it with a Radiant Rain Dauber in Egyption Gold.  I made the moon in gold cardstock and then dabbed it with the same color dauber.  I then stamped the witch with Jillian Vance Design stamp from the Witchy Poo set.  I put the front on a craft cardstock card and stamped the inside with "Flying by to say Hi".  I have to say that this is one of my favorite designs.  The "13" on the patchwork texture just seems to pop out when you actually see the card.

Please comment and let me know what you think.

Denise
This is a card I made using orange cardstock.  I stamped "Free Broom Rides" with Jillian's Witchy Poo set. I used my Vagabond to run a page Sizzix Little Sizzles Hantung Texture Pad, Assorted Metals and Tim Holtz Alteration Texture Fades "Playing Games set t/o make the ticket.  cut it out by hand.  Inside of the card I stamped "Witch you were Here"  also from Jillian's set.

Busy, Busy!

Hello!

I know it has been a while since my last entry (which was also my first entry).  I have been busy card making and scrapbooking.  Last weekend I went to Amish country to a weekend crop with about 20 fellow scrappers.  I made a butterfly-shaped album that my friend Sumi gave me.  I also made lots of cards with Jillian's stamps.  I had so many ideas running through my head that I started to draw little pictures of the cards I wanted to design.  I took a card class on Monday and made a dozen cards.  Then yesterday I went to another all day crop at our church and finished covering two word albums (BASEBALL)  for my nephew, Brock.

This week my project will be to sort through my scrapbook room and see if there is anything that I can bear to part with, for a Scrapbook Garage Sale that my friends are having this Friday and Saturday in Plain City.  As one friend put it, we will all be our own best customers!  Busy, Busy!  Good thing I am retired!

Until next time, Happy Scrappin'!
